How I Lost Almost 30lbs

Hey guys!! I've finally managed to lose the weight I wanted to so I decided to do a post on it. Hopefully if any of you are wanting to do the same thing this will be helpful.

In the first photo I'm around 160-170 lbs, in the second I'm about 132 lbs.

Now I debated whether to include this photo because I wouldn't typically post this kind of thing, but I just feel like you can see progress better in these types of photos,  so that's why I decided to include it.

These photos go from around the 160-170 lbs to the 132 lbs.

I actually used an app to help with my weight loss called SparkPeople.

It is super helpful.

It allows you to track your calories and everything you are eating it drinking,  and to add exercises.  It has a decent database of different foods as well as exercises although occasionally you'll have to add a new food yourself.

When you start off you get to set a goal for your weight and It will calculate the amount of calories you will need and the amount of exercise you should try to do during a week.

You can adjust these goals of leave them alone.

When I was losing weight initially I kept my calories between about 1200 and 1350.  (Girls, don't ever go below 1200 unless told by a doctor,  your body needs that much to function well)

Now I would love to say I ate healthily during this and always worked out. In reality I did TRY to eat healthier at first, but I just don't like fruits and vegetables guys,  so I just ate less of the stuff I liked and stuck to my daily calories.

I actually did stick to my workouts throughout the first few months. Although it has taken me a little over a year to lose the weight that is because I just stopped trying to lose and maintained  at about 140 for a while.

I actually got down to 140 lbs in about 4 or 5 months.  After that I ended up getting my new job and started eating out alot more with my fiancé (then boyfriend) and not working out because I said I moved enough at work.

I recently picked back up with the calorie counting and got to 132.

One thing I will say though,  I have only recently started trying to workout again.  Even though I have my weight about where I'd like it, I didn't focus much on muscle gain and toning so now I'm trying to get at least a little toned just to make myself feel even better.

I'm thinking of doing some post on the type of workouts I did and like to do,  so be looking for those as well.  :)

What you should know about dating a gamer

Hey guys!! I wanted to do a slightly different kind of post today, my boyfriend is a gamer and so I thought it could be fun to do a post on what you should know about dating a gamer, and the best part? This list is gamer approved. :) lol 1. Gamers will game... alot. If you are going to date a gamer you have to understand this, gaming is part of what he loves doing, especially if he's hardcore gamer, so don't be one of those girlfriends who's constantly trying to make him stop playing, gamers don't like that at all. You shouldn't try and change him, but accept who he is, or other option find a guy who isn't a gamer. lol 2. Sometimes,  it will take an eternity to get a text back,  or he forgets. You'll get used to it. There are just some games where you can't pause them or they are just too difficult for him to text you back quickly. If he likes this game: that can be especially true. And trust me I've played it, he

Getting my Belly Button Pierced

(Photo by Grace, Southern Grace Photography) So I did something super exciting and scary recently. I got my belly pierced!! I researched and found a awesome tattoo shop called Golden Spiral Tattoo, I totally recommend them btw. I went with my fiance and we told them what we were there for and I gave them my ID and signed the papers after the piercing artist did a short 'consultation' which was basically just looking at and feeling my belly button area. She told me because I bend right at my belly button when I sit and stuff I would need to be sure to sit up straight, but it looked good and she could do it. We went back with her to a little room and she cleaned around my belly button and marked where to pierce with her maker and measured the area. She had a few different belly rods I guess? laying out for me to choose from so I chose a small diamond looking one (pictured obviously lol) and she sanitized it. She had me lay on the table and adjust

Loreal True Match Foundation Review

I've had this for a few months now so I decided it was time to do a review. I have the color Alabaster which is a cool shade. It actually matches my skin tone perfectly so that's a really big plus. This lasts all day long, but on me it doesn't really help all that much with my skin getting oily/shiny looking. I actually think this might make my skin look MORE shiny because it has a bit of a dewy finish (which is great if your skin isn't already oily). That being said I do like this, but I'm not sure I'll repurchase it because of the shine factor but I think if you have normal or dry skin then this would be something good to try and they have plenty of shades so it's a good chance you'll be able to find your skin tone.
