What's that Makeup For?-- Eyeshadow

Next up in my What's That Makeup For? Series is Eyeshadow, personally I feel that eyeshadow can really make a look. You can go from a very natural subtle look to a very dramatic look with it. In the picture is my Sedona Lace 168 Color palette ( review and swatches here  and here ) as well as my Nyx Adorable palette ( review here ) . And that's honestly the goal. Eyeshadow is one of those makeup products you can really play with and experiment with. It can be a lot of fun. It can also change your eye shape depending on the way you apply it. In the first picture I am wearing: Maybelline Fit Me Foundation, Rimmel Wake Me Up concealer, Covergirl Concealer, and Covergirl Pressed Powder. In the next picture I've added two colors from my Sedona Palette, a sparkly grey and black in the crease, which I've blended out. I decided to go for a slightly darker look, but not overly because I was going to a funeral, so I didn't want to over do it and als

The spring tag :)

So tonight I was in the mood to do a tag post, so I decided on one I saw a while ago, The spring tag :) 1. What three colors remind you of spring?   Hmm I suppose pink, yellow, and bright green. Really any pastel or bright color tends to remind me of spring, although bright is more summer. 2. What is the first thing you add to your spring wardrobe?   Strappy heels and spaghetti strap dresses and tops. I'm always SUPER excited to be back into spring and summery clothing and shoes. 3. What are your ultimate nude and bright lipsticks?   Um well I have a pink one, but I don't know the brand, but it's like this really pretty bright pink. Also for nude I really like Maybelline Color Whisper in Coral Ambition.   4. What is your signature spring fragrance?   I don't know that I really have one, I don't wear a lot of perfume, but I guess it would be one of my bath and body lotions. Maybe Coconut Lime Breeze? Although that is more of a s

What's that makeup for?-- Pressed Powder

Here I have my Covergirl Clean Pressed Powder, clearly I need to buy more soon. lol Pressed powder is basically used to "set" your foundation and concealer and create a base for the other products like, bronzer and blush. It is also to keep your face from looking shiny/oily. In the first picture I have on my Maybelline Fit Me Foundation, Rimmel Wake me Up Concealer, and Covergirl Concealer. In the second I've added my Covergirl Clean Pressed Powder.

What's that makeup for?-- Concealer

Next up in my series is concealer, I decided to post on a Sunday this week because I have to work tomorrow and decided this would  be easier. Concealer is used to cover acne and other imperfections. It can also be used to cover bruises. It can be used on it's own or with foundation and other products. In my picture I have a Liquid Concealer, Rimmel Wake me Up Concealer, and a stick concealer, by Covergirl. I tend to use the Rimmel under my eyes and use the Covergirl on my acne. In the first picture I have on my Maybelline Fit Me Foundation. In the second picture I have added my Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer as well as my Covergirl Concealer. By the way guys, if my lighting looks different in any pics I'm sorry, I didn't change anything I was doing with the lights or camera angles but some look brighter or darker than others to me. Hopefully it doesn't affect your ability to see the effects of the different products.

What's that make up for?-- Foundation

I'm gonna start off my "What's that make up for?" Series with foundation since that's the base of the other make up. In the first pic I don't have ANY make up on, all I've done is washed my face with my Clean and Clear Moring Burst facial wash, put on Clean and Clear Persa Gel, and moisturized with my Clean and Clear morning glow moisturizer. In the second picture I have on my Maybelline Fit me Foundation in the color 110 Porcelain. The job of foundation is to be a base for other make up as well as to take out any redness you may have in your face. Also to help cover acne and other imperfections.  It helps to create an illusion of "perfect" skin. As you can see my in the before and after my skin is already looking better and more even. The foundations in my picture are all liquid foundation because that's the kind I prefer to wear, but you can also get powder foundations (Bare Minerals sells them) as well a
