40 Beauty Questions Tag!

Since my post yesterday was more or less just informing you of my new series I decided to do a fun post. I thought a tag would be a fun thing to do and a good way to let you guys get to know me a little better so I did the "40 beauty questions tag" :) SKINCARE -How many times do you wash your face daily? Usually once, sometimes twice -What skin type do you have? (dry, oily, combo) Combo, my t-zone is my problem area -What is your current facial wash? New blog post series-- What's that type of make up for?

Hey guys! So a month or so I go, I was at church and talking to my younger cousin, Grace. Well we started to talk about make up, because she will be old enough to wear it in a little over a year, and she started asking me what different products were and what they were for, and what they did. So I tried to explain a large variety of them, but she gave me an idea for a blog post series. So I'm starting a short series I'm calling, "What's that make up for?", and will be posting about various types of make up all separately, so one post for foundation, one for concealer etc. I'm probably still gonna have some reviews and stuff in between, but I'm just gonna see where it goes. Hopefully this post can not only help my younger cousin, but also any other younger, or older, girls who don't know much about make up yet. I'm definitely not claiming to be an expert by any means, but I'm gonna do my best to explain it all. If I miss any...

Nyx Wicked Lippies (Envy and Scandalous) Review

On the right: Scandalous On the left: Envy Color: Envy Color: Scandalous. These are a part of my makeup hall I posted about a few weeks ago ( here ). I saw them when I was looking at Nyx's website and couldn't get them off my mind and I was feeling a bit adventurous so I decided to go for some colors I have NOTHING like in my collection. I have to say I'm quite pleased with my purchase, when I ordered them I thought I might wear them once if that and decide I hated them and that they looked awful, but I'm very pleasantly surprised to find that I quite like the uniqueness of them and If used with the right looks and make up I think they look quite nice. I'll start with my thoughts on Envy, I decided that being such a deep blue this color needed a dark look so I paired it with a grey eye shadow and a black dress and kept my look very dark. I was VERY shocked when I sent this picture to my boyfriend, who was VERY against t...

Nyx Adorable Eyeshadow Palette Review

This another purchase I made for my birthday, the Nyx eyeshadow palette in Adorable. I was debating between this one and two others, Sex Bomb and Natural. I decided to go with this one because although it had the neutral colors it also has a couple shimmery ones and a pink one. I have to say, I'm quite pleased with my purchase. The colors are very pretty and work well together. I especially like the shimmery ones and the lighter shimmery one is light enough it can be put over the pink without changing the color too much which is awesome. I had a minor amount of creasing after having worn these all day, even with a primer, but nothing major and nothing I couldn't easily touch up. So over all I quite like this palette and would buy another from Nyx in the future. :)

Maybelline Fit Me Matte Poreless Foundation Review

I saw a commercial for this and really wanted to try it and I was finally able to get it for my birthday. I actually really like this, it has light to medium coverage and leaves a kind of glowy look even though it's matte. I don't find this is the BEST for covering acne, but even with that in mind I still love it. It also matches my skin relativity well, I was debating between porcelain and the next shade up which I believe was Ivory, but I'm not sure. I went with porcelain and I think it's a good winter/ early spring shade for me. I think in the summer I might go up one shade, but I'm not certain.  I'd definitely recommend this if you guys are looking for a nice matte foundation with light/medium coverage for summer. :)
